A New Blog

My lovely critique group and I have started a new blog – we figured that the existing eight trillion blogs just didn’t have enough information, and you desperately needed another one!

We’re all writers, obviously, but are all avid readers, too. And what we read directly influences how we write and what we write. So we wanted to come at the blog from a couple of different vantage points –

1) How does a critique group function for ten-plus years in a healthy and forward-looking way, and how you can replicate our success.

2) Books we’ve read or are reading – how they work, what works, and why (including reviews of books, too).

3) How we glean the best techniques from other writers, and put them to use in our works. Not plagiarism, of course, but solid tools for your writers toolbox.

And who knows what else we’ll talk about? There are four of us, in four different time zones, and two different countries. Break out the caffeinated tea and/or Diet Coke, and stand back! Things might get a little crazy!

This week, in honor of Banned Books Week, we’re talking about banned or challenged books that influenced us. Come join us and let us know what YOU think! (Click on the picture for a link to the new blog!)
